I face my fourth season at Real Madrid with renewed illusions and full of energy to give my best. This year, it is going to be special for us. We will play again at the Santiago Bernabéu and we will be able to enjoy our fans. Seeing them cheering us on is special, and I am convinced that we are all going to have a great season together.
This summer, I have returned to play with my Uruguay team. Although we did not achieve what we expected, we gave everything on the field to play a good role in the Copa América. Now is the time to turn the page and focus on the qualifying matches for the Qatar World Cup against Peru and Ecuador in September.
Before all that, LaLiga will return and I am really looking forward to this start of the competition. During the holidays, I have worked hard to arrive in the best conditions at the start of the season. I have been training with the team in Madrid for a day and I am counting the days until LaLiga begins next Saturday, August 14.
